Tamiya 1/72 Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero
This airplane represents Major Saburo Shindo's airplane of the
582nd Naval Air Group during World War II in June 1943. It was built straight from the box and brushed painted
with Tamiya acrylics and lightly weathered with Tamiya weathering kits and
Prisma Color pencils. I built this kit about a year ago after its release.
The
fit of the kit's parts were great as expected with almost any recent Tamiya kit. The pictures speak
for themselves as how good this kit builds out to be in the end. The figure climbing in is made up of
three different Revell of Germany Luftwaffe WWII figures cut and fit back
together to represent Saburo Shindo climbing it for a flight.
